What a Historic Season for Elk Valley Girls’ Wrestling! We can’t even begin to express how grateful we are for all the support during our first-ever season of girls’ wrestling! It was a wild ride, full of hard work, determination, and unforgettable moments—and we capped it off by sending TWO incredible athletes to the State Championships! Huge congratulations to Kaylea Hilyard for securing a bout win and finishing in the Top 12 in her weight class! And big applause to Nezaria Luce for battling her way to the Top 16 in the state of Kansas! None of this would have been possible without Mr. Sam Wyrick, who poured his time, energy, and expertise into coaching these girls to such a high level. We can never thank him enough for his dedication! A massive shoutout to the Elk Valley administration and School Board of Education for always going above and beyond to ensure our students and athletes have every opportunity to excel—both academically and competitively.
