Your Middle and High School Lions kick off the track and field season tomorrow!
Middle School heads to Eureka where fields events start at 3:30. Weather appears to have a high of 55 degrees with chances of rain. Please prepare your Student Athletes for the weather.
High School also starts at 3:30 in Oswego! High temperatures of 52 degrees with a slight chance of rain. Again ensure your students athletes are prepared for the weather.


We just got word that Elk Valley eSport's Mario Kart 8 Deluxe team of Keith Rehmet, Charles Kiesel, Wyatt Raynor, and Jeremiah Thompson have already qualified for the playoffs!
The squad just wrapped up week 6 of an 8 week season Thursday. They are currently ranked 5th in with a record of 5-1 overall and a 10-2 match record in a field of 83 teams from all across the Central United States.

Elk Valley headed to Hutchinson and the state fair grounds this morning for the 2024 NASP Kansas State Archery Competition! Everyone who attended today had qualified as an Academic Archer and received a medal! We can't wait for next season! Congratulations Archers!











The Elk Valley 2024-2025 cheer team is selling Oreo truffles to help pay for camp and general expenses for the upcoming school year. We've got big plans to grow the team! Be sure to talk to a cheerleader before April 5th to pre-order some delicious Oreo balls! The girls will be making the Oreo truffles and delivery will be at the beginning of the following week. We have cheerleaders who can deliver in local surrounding areas such as Elk City, Elk Falls, Howard, Independence, etc. Just let us know and we will get you in contact with one!

Elk Valley and Rocket Online Schools Announce Partnership



Mrs. Roach’s kindergarten scientists conducted investigations on different strengths and directions of pushes & pulls (force) to determine if different design solutions could change the speed or direction of their cars on various race track designs. Such fun to watch their creativity and teamwork lead to some really inventive solutions!






Elk Valley High School went to ICC this morning for a tour of the facilites!











Middle School students Roman Price and Matthew Roach both performed a solo at the SCBL Music Festival on Thursday, March 21 at Cowley Community College in Ark City, KS. Roman earned an "I" rating on his baritone piece and Matthew earned a "II" rating on his clarinet piece. Congratulations, boys!!

Mrs Roach's Middle School scientists continued their study of chemical reactions, acids, and bases by applying our knowledge to analyze and interpret data on the properties of substances before and after the substances interact to determine if a chemical reaction has occurred. We learned about yeast's importance to the chemical reactions in bread, the chemical changes glucose molecules undergo to make butterscotch, and how cabbage juice can be used as a pH indicator.











Next week will be the last week for our Cheerleaders' Elk Valley Spirit Gear fundraiser! Be sure to get your orders in by Friday, March 8th if you would like some spirit gear.
