Due to the severe icy conditions affecting our area, Elk Valley Unified School District 283 has decided to cancel all school activities, including classes and extracurricular events, for Tuesday, January 23rd. The safety and well-being of our students and staff are our top priorities. After careful consideration of the current weather conditions, it is in the best interest of everyone to close the school for the day. The icy conditions pose a significant risk to transportation and pedestrian safety, making travel hazardous for our students and staff. Additionally, extreme weather conditions may impact the functionality of the school facilities. We understand that this closure may cause inconvenience, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation during these challenging weather conditions. Our top priority is ensuring the safety of everyone associated with Elk Valley Unified School District 283. Please stay tuned to local news channels, our official website, and social media channels for any further updates regarding the school's status. We anticipate resuming normal activities on Wednesday, pending improved weather conditions. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Stay safe and warm. Sincerely, Elk Valley Administration

Mrs. Roach’s first-hour art class had the opportunity to visit the immersive Beyond van Gogh exhibit at the OK Museum of Popular Culture in Tulsa this week. The exhibit included an immersive experience in art history that allowed the class to experience Van Gogh's masterpieces by feeling like they were stepping into the paintings and seeing them in a new way

Last week Kindergarten took advantage of the beautiful weather before the cold snap to art outside with Mrs Roach. They completed their chameleon marker projects and then used wet paint brushes to blend the colors. These masterpieces will be displayed in a Rainforest hall gallery when we return to school in January.
